Welcome to Brooklyn Trails
We are a children’s arts program serving Brooklyn families in Prospect Park. Each class provides a hands-on learning environment rooted in collaboration, creativity and child-led ephemeral & process art making.
Brooklyn Trails is designed to get your children outdoors in rain or shine. Together we make art in park while cultivating a love for nature, learning and tinkering with a wide range of art materials. Our classes are mixed ages and our activities accommodate all abilities.
Our program is child-led with an emphasis on children’s consent and excitement around what they are learning and making. We honor children as active members of our community, and approach them in such a way that they feel respected in their own right as autonomous individuals. We provide mixed media and sensory materials for children to explore and create with. Many of our projects are collaborative and we always prioritize process and experimentation over product!
