Enchanted Forest

We will embark on a whimsical journey through the enchanted forest, where we will create fairy & gnome houses, design mythical creature puppets, and bring fantastical scenes to life through potion brewing, painting, sculpting, and wand making. Who knows? We may even stumble upon a magical map that leads us to fairy treasure or a pot of gold!

From Trash to Treasure

This week we will explore the world of up-cycling and repurposing materials to create unique and eco-friendly art projects. We will dive into unconventional mixed media art, transforming everyday items into beautiful, bizarre masterpieces. From building abstract sculptures to painting unconventional portraits and creating a collaborative recycled city, we'll promote sustainability and mindfulness around waste. This week, we'll study artist Nick Cave and his fabulous Sound Suits before creating our own!

Storytelling through Art & Puppetry

We will unleash our creativity as we journey into the realms of imagination and explore the diverse ways in which stories can be shared. We will explore everything from visual storytelling through art, creative movement and dance to oral traditions and written narratives. We'll explore mythology and fairy tales and bring our own favorite stories to life by creating puppets, masks, collaborative quilts, and designing storybook illustrations.

Four Elements Creations

Get ready to delve into the four elements—earth, air, water, and fire—and channel your child's creative energy into projects inspired by each element. They'll build nature-inspired sculptures, paint with wind and water, and even create fiery-themed costumes. We'll look at the artwork of Andy Goldsworthy and learn about the beauty of ephemeral art.
