A Day at Brooklyn Trails

Each day unfolds as a gentle flow of art-making, park exploration, imaginative play, and community connection. Children choose how they move between creative stations under the trees, world-building games with peers, nature collecting, storytelling, and open-ended projects that evolve across days and weeks.

Children are thoughtfully grouped into two age-based cohorts that run alongside one another with intentional separation, ensuring developmentally aligned experiences while still sharing moments of community and mixed-age magic, with flexibility for siblings to remain together if desired.

Rather than rotating through scheduled activities, children are invited to settle deeply into their interests and experience the satisfaction of creative work that grows over time. Our small-group structure allows for attentive guidance while preserving the spontaneity, wonder, and freedom that make summer feel magical.

At camp, children gather natural treasures, transform them into mixed-media creations, invent imaginary worlds with friends, and wander through Prospect Park on small adventures guided by curiosity. The result is a spacious, imaginative camp experience deeply rooted in childhood wonder.
