CIT Program
Counselor in Training (CIT) Program (Ages 12–14)
Our Counselor in Training program is a mentorship-based experience for older children who feel ready to take on a more intentional role within the Brooklyn Trails community.
CITs spend their time alongside our teaching team, supporting the daily rhythm of camp while learning how to engage with younger children in a thoughtful, respectful way. This is not a staff position, but rather a guided opportunity to build confidence, responsibility, and leadership skills through observation and hands-on participation.
CITs may help prepare materials, support transitions, participate in group activities and games, and offer a steady presence within the group. They are always supervised by our educators and are never responsible for children independently.
